In the late 90s he designed the Ground Control Complex (GCC) for the first Russian telecommunication satellite “Yamal-100”. The feature of the satellite – it is made in a non-hermetic modular design, which allowed to achieve the active life of 12-15 years. ”Yamal“ flies and operates to this day.

Alexander wrote and at the end of 2024 published a book titled “Tulips from Baikonur”. The book was written on the basis of personal impressions of the Buran flight. The event was great, not repeated until now. Many of its participants left memories about it in their articles and books. As a rule, they emphasize the technical features (uniqueness) of the project.
The idea of the book is to pass the romantic mood of that time, to revive the creative spirit of the gone era, to honor the memory of specialists and managers who were able to implement fantastic engineering projects such as “Buran”.
