Leonardo da Vinci – the greatest Italian representative of the art of the High Renaissance, a vivid example of the “universal man”. Ekaterina Vologdina, fashion designer, honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Ekaterina was born in
Moscow. Lives and works in Moscow.
Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2018). Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (2000). Member of the Union of Designers of Moscow (2001).
Education: Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (1969).
Professional activity: The Fashion House of
Valentin Yudashkin (author of
more than 10 collections of clothing accessories, 1991-1995); Art-designer at the
Theater on Malaya Bronnaya (2002-2005); Stage director and costume designer for the
shows “Anna Karenina”, “Racing Season”, “Season of Victories”, “Russian Beauty”, “Temptation of Eve”, “Leonardo da Vinci”.
Participant of
” Chapeau” exhibitions since 2003. Participant of international projects:
Biennale in Malta (2005); Days of Culture of Russia in Germany (2007); Year of Culture Russia-France, in Amboise, in the Louvre (2010). As a partner of the
“Art-Niva” art gallery – show director, curator and designer of
exhibitions: “Destiny intertwined. Artur Fonvizin and Alla Belyakova” (2007), “The Artist’s Muse” (together with the Russian Academy of Arts, 2014).
Works are represented in the collections of the
Museum of hats “Chazelles-sur-Lyon” (France), the Funds of Russian couturiers
Valentin Yudashkin, Vyacheslav Zaitsev, private collections.
Awards:
Laureate of the prize “Moscow Masters” (2004), Medal “Laureate of the All-Russian Exhibition Center” (2004), Gratitude of the Minister of Moscow Government (2007). Winner of the Moscow Mayor’s competition “Fashion Design” (2008). Medal “For Merit to the Academy” of the Russian Federation.
